USA aviation giant, Boeing, will set up a defence plant in association with the Tata group, which will also be the biggest investment in defence sector so far in the country.

Telangana may be the newest state on the country, but its definitely caught the eye of foreign investors as it is that preferred fast emerging for new investments for MNCs.
KT Rama Rao, the state’s IT Minister, informs CNBC-TV18 that US aviation giant, Boeing, will set up a defence plant in association with the Tata group, which will also be the biggest investment in defence sector so far in the country.
“We have Facebook India’s operations headquartered in Hyderabad,” he says, adding “Besides Microsoft we already have Amazon, Google and Uber setting up their largest operations outside of us in Hyderabad.”
With Google, Uber and Amazon committing to invest about USD 250 million, priority sectors remain IT, electronic hardware manufacturing, aerospace and defence, he says The other potential companies which could be headed to the state include Ikea, Micromax, Celkon, Karbonn and Foxconn, he adds
